Late one starry night, as I slept comfortably under those aforementioned stars, ah, sweet, sweet stars, I glanced something from the corner of my eye a strange phenomena, a jerking dancing duo. I said to myself, ohhhh I better watch out for that, that is definitely something I should be looking out for, for whatever that is seems ready to POUNCE!
It was only later that I realised that the something was in fact punk/dance duo Matt and Kim. However, my initial suspicions were correct, Matt and Kim are poised, ready to jump from relative obscurity to something much, much bigger.
Their music is not complex. They will not be replacing TV on the Radio anytime soon, although they do hail from the same envy of any true indie rockers dreams, Brooklyn. C’mon, they only consist of two people and that two people only really play a synthesizer, keyboard, guitar and drums. But shit, they are hot. They are hot like Jane Fonda in Cat Ballou, you know, where she has the pistols, the high-waisted jeans and that flannelette shirt. Did I mention the pistols?
Yeah, Matt and Kim are blisteringly fire inducing scorching, ready to explode. Their simple dance jams are tearing up the festival circuit in the States at the moment and they are about to release a new album entitled GRAND! So if you want to be in front of the curve with all your hipster friends, get on it before they explode like MGMT, I mean shit, how did that happen?
