Corner of an Endless Road

Top on my playlist right now is Lior’s “Corner of an Endless Road.” This Israeli-born Australian singer-songwriter has put together a cracker of an album that explores his middle-eastern roots and showcases the depth of his writing finesse. The instrumentation is original (sitar, horn & brass ensembles, bongos) and compliments Lior’s rich voice perfectly. His lower tones are mellow and his falsetto is flawless.  Crossing a broad range of styles and featuring guest vocalists such as Sia Furler, Corner of an Endless Road is complex and intensely layered, but plays so warmly you won’t even notice. Go buy it. Now.

From the man hisself:

Corner Of An Endless Road is a true representation of my musical landscape; think Led Zeppelin jamming with Nick Drake at a teahouse somewhere in the Middle East.
